A Special Absence...

A Special Hello to you all...

I was gone much longer than I had intended and much longer than I ever imagined I would need. 

Life got especially crazy and although there is a lot still unresolved I feel the need to be here.

 Thank you to all the special people who have sent beautiful notes and to those who have left caring comments, I thank you so very much. They sure were needed. 

I intend to ease myself back into this special circle if you will have me of course, and  I so look forward to catching up with you all. I do hope your Christmas was blessed with very special moments and the New Year will be exceed your every expectation by far. 

I am not sure what 2013 will bring and perhaps you are a little like that too. Having said that I am especially hopeful it will be filled with love, happiness and lots and lots of special
moments I can share here with you...

a special bedroom makeover...

 I want to makeover our 

spare/guest room. It's time to 

decorate in my style ok  time 

to embark upon a more grown 

up decor and not have to worry 

about having to satisfy the rug 

rats needs and demands anymore. 

Well that is for the time being 

whilst they embrace living 

outside of the family home.

Alright until such time as they crave

that protected sanctury and my

purse, which never seems hold 

any cash when they are around...

Any, well actually all of these
amazing styles would be 
just gorgeous and suit the style
I so want to achieve...

It is a spacious room there is

enough space to accomodate 

two double beds...

I do like the idea of accomodating 

several beds by way of bunks 

in this room. But there is the

 need to keep that guest room feel,

and not a dormitory look...

I do especially love the layout 
of the image above, but then 
the styling in the images below 

have me drooling...

A special gift for a special 

lady celebrating 

her 80th birthday...

I couldn't believe how the flowers and buttons enhanced the plain cushion. In fact at first I thought one medallion would be enough...

I am thrilled with 

how special it looks...

I am by far a confident crafter, but with the help of YouTube, some beautiful soft pastel coloured wool and lots of patience I am pretty proud of this...

ANZAC Day – 25 April – is probably Australia's most important national occasion. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War. 

Anzac stands for Australian and New Zealand Army Corps. The soldiers in those forces quickly became known as ANZACs, and the pride they took in that name endures to this day. 

Australians recognise 25 April as an occasion of 
national remembrance, which takes two forms. 
Commemorative services are held at dawn – the time 
of the original landing – across the nation.  
Commemorative ceremonies are more formal and 
are held at war memorials around the country. 
In these ways, ANZAC Day is a time when Australians 
reflect on the many different meanings of war.
Whilst later in the day, ex-servicemen and women meet to take part in marches through the major cities and in many smaller centres.
